Francesca is a brand coach for rebels. Her goal is to help business owners find their vision for life and based on that the mission for their business so that they can stand out instead of blend in. She is on a mission to create something that helps make the world a better place and foster community, creativity, and mental well being.

The challenge

Fran and I got to talk because she was struggling to define her services and narrow down her niche as she felt she constantly got distracted by all the information and possibilities that were out there. In a quest to gain as much knowledge as possible to learn what to do next she enrolled in several courses, memberships, programs, joined Clubhouse rooms regurly and tried to talk to as many people as possible. But this was taking up a lot of time and she was not finding the answers she was looking for.

Besides this, she wanted to get her website up and running so that she would have somewhere to send potential clients for more information. As she has already bought a Squarespace template we decided to use this template and the course that came with the template. So while we decided her business strategy and brand foundation during the mentoring sessions she would implement this into the website template.

THe program

Because Fran had just booked her first client we spend our first session on a quick Dubsado set up so that she would be able to send out the contract and invoice. In our second call, we reviewed her answers in the Brand Questionaire that she filled in before the start of the program. Based on the struggles Fran mentioned in this call and the goals she had a custom program was created.

The overall goals of the weekly calls:

  • Initial Dubsado set-up

  • The focus will be on creating a solid business foundation in terms of:

    • Business model

    • Product suite (services & pricing)

    • Back-end organisation for these services with workflows

    • Setting up a schedule of daily, weekly, monthly tasks.

  • Accountability

Month 1: Dubsado & Foundation

  • Initial Dubsado set-up

  • Create product suite: Services, descriptions and pricing

  • Workflows for the services


Month 2: Daily management + Website

  • Workflows and creation of daily, weekly, monthly tasks.

  • Start with website setup


Month 3: Website and Strategy

  • Continue with website setup

  • Define keywords to include in SEO (if not already included in your course)

  • Create a worksheet to track website traffic


The first focus was on setting goals for her business. We listed all her goals and grouped them together so that we had a clear overview of where Fran wanted to take her business. We used this to create a mentor program that would focus on the most important elements to reach those goals. Besides this, we made an overview of how Fran was spending her time at the moment. We reviewed all the tasks and eliminated or reduced some of her obligations so that she would have time left to spend on building her business foundation.

Next, we focussed on creating a business model and product suite that would help her reach clients at different stages of their journey and with different budgets. As well as looking at the profitability of the services to make sure these services did not just cover hours worked but also had a healthy profit margin.

To decide the services within the product suite we spend a lot of time defining the target market, who her ideal client was, what kind of help they would need and describing the value Fran could bring to her clients. But also the processes of how to deliver these services and the tools to use like Miro to make the sessions interactive.
